Past, Present and Future: Moving Black Leaders Forward

In Honor of Black History Month, Union Institute & University is celebrating all month long recognizing the many successes of the African-American culture. Join us as our Florida Academic Center hosts a panel discussion on the challenges black leaders face today titled “Past, Present and Future: Moving Black Leaders Forward.”

The three panelists include:

• Commander Chiquita Butler, M.S., Commander with the City of Miami Police Department
• Telena Paris, Ph.D., Chief Executive Office at Write Choice Consulting
• Nyam Smith, M.S., Vice President of Mission Advancement at Russell Education Foundation

We will highlight some techniques young people can overcome those challenges in their rise to leadership positions within their communities.
