Milk Drop Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

We have some exciting news! Union Institute & University and OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank (OHMMB) have partnered to open the second milk drop in Cincinnati.

The OhioHealth Mothers’ Milk Bank, under the guidelines of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA), provides pasteurized human milk to those infants whose mothers are unable to provide milk to nourish their premature and ill babies.

Community members in the Cincinnati area will now be able to donate breast milk at our Cincinnati Academic Center, as Union begins offering another initiative designed to transform the lives and communities we serve.

UIU alumna, Chris Smith, a 2005 Union graduate, will join us for the ceremony. Chris works as a Lactation Consultant and is the Outreach Coordinator for OHMMB.
